Our Statement of Faith
Our congregation, like so many of the Churches of Christ that
existed in the first century and is made up of people from various ethnic
groups, races, ages and levels of spiritual maturity. We are a body of
Christ called together for worship, teaching and service.
The Scripture says in I Corinthians 12:13,
“For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body - whether
Jews or Greeks, slave or free- and we were all given the one Spirit to drink”
Whatever our individual gifts and abilities are we should use them to
build up this body and to glorify God. “Each should use whatever gift he
has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in
its various forms...so that in all things God may be praised through
Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever.
Amen”. I Peter 4:10-11.
In order for our spiritual body to be healthy, it must be nourished by
sound teachings. The Bible, and the Bible alone, is to be our food.
For Jesus said; “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that
comes from the mouth of God” Matthew 4:4. May we never drift away
from the things we were taught from the beginning I John 2:24.
Through evangelism, worship, fellowship, service and prayer, God will
continue to build up "His" Church at White Rock and throughout the
world. He will do His part if we will do our part. He will use each of
us to find receptive souls, to teach them His word, to encourage them to
obedience and, upon entering this local church, to love them with
brotherly affection.
Your brothers in Christ,
The Elders
