Our Statement of Faith
Our congregation, like so many of the Churches of Christ that
existed in the first century and is made up of people from various ethnic
groups, races, ages and levels of spiritual maturity. We are a body of
Christ called together for worship, teaching and service.
The Scripture says in I Corinthians 12:13;
“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles,
whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit".
Whatever our individual gifts and abilities are we should use them to
build up this body and to glorify God. “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister
the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.If any man speak, let him speak
as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things
may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen". I Peter 4:10-11.
In order for our spiritual body to be healthy, it must be nourished by
sound teachings. The Bible, and the Bible alone, is to be our food.
For Jesus said; “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 .
"Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning
shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father". I John 2:24.
Through evangelism, worship, fellowship, service and prayer, God will
continue to build up "His Church" (Matthew 16:18) at White Rock and throughout the
world. He will do His part if we will do our part. He will use each of
us to find receptive souls, to teach them His word, to encourage them to
obedience and, upon entering this local church too love them with
brotherly affection.
