God’s Plan of Salvation

He has brought this plan to fruition through all the events recounted in the Old Testament, culminating in His plan in the New Testament. The love of God extends His grace to those who choose to follow Him. When Jesus came to earth as a human, died on the cross and was raised from the dead (see 1 Corinthians 15:1- 4), He did these to save us from our own sins. Jesus created His church because he is the Christ (Matthew 16:16-18) and all authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to Him (Matthew 28:20). He can add us to His church (Acts 2:41, 47).

God has done everything He can do except force us to become Christians. He has left the decision to us. Do you want to be saved and take advantage of what Jesus has done for you? Do you want to be forgiven of your sins and know that you are right with God? Here is man’s part of the equation.

Hear the Word of God (Romans 10:14, 17).

Believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God (John 8:24; 20:31).

Repent of your sins (Luke 13:3). (Repentance is a decision to change that leads to actions that produce the change.)

Confess your faith that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God (Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:9-10).

Be Baptized for remission of your sins (Acts 2:38; Colossians 2:12; Acts 22:16).

Live faithfully even if it costs your life (Revelation 2:10).
